Change Management
Introduction
Most projects involve people and projects are more successful if the people-side of change is managed with effective change management. MKR Consulting has a proven track record of handling complex change management projects. Utilizing the Prosci Change Management Methodology, MKR Consulting can provide a broad range of deliverables, tasks and activities to help ensure a successful transition.
Change Management Assessments
The first thing to complete when beginning a change initiative is to assess the amount of risk associated with the change by analyzing the characteristics of the change (scope, # of employees impacted, type of change, incremental change or rapid change, etc.) and the organizational attributes (value system, capacity for change, style, success rate of past changes, etc.). The result of this assessment will help understand the impact the change will have on employees and dictate the type of change management activities required to help ensure a successful change. Utilizing tools, templates and worksheets, MKR Consulting will help assess the type of change the organization is about to embark on.
Change Management Plans
The change management plan is similar to a project management plan because it contains sub-components of different plans including the communications plan, sponsor plan and roadmap, coaching plan, resistance management plan, and training plan. The plan also contains components for when the change is underway, such as feedback analysis, corrective action plans, celebrating success and lessons learned results. MKR Consulting can help create the change management plans and conduct change management activities to help ensure a successful change.
Change Management Strategies
To create a solid change management strategy the results of the change management assessments need to be taken into account. The structure and size of the change management team, including the sponsorship model will also play a critical role in the overall strategy. MKR Consulting will work closely with the organization to create special change management tactics and conduct risk assessments that will be used to create the best strategy for the type of change the organization is facing.
Resistance Management Plans
Resistance to change is natural for many people, so managing resistance should be planned for and actively managed throughout the change process. A resistant management plan includes what resistance might look like within the organization and where likely areas for resistance are to occur. MKR Consulting will use a process to not only identify resistance at different levels within the organization, but also manage each level differently.
